Yeah, sorry not got a pic, need to sort out uploading pics on here as I can't find the lead for my cam, but that's another story!

They're carpet mats, nice n hard-wearing so far but only had the car since November.

Look good though. Have LEON in red on the drivers mat, black & red piping round the outside.

:)

Sound nice, will defo see if i can pick some up, rather that than some off ebay..least i can see what they are like in person prior to buying them,

Only if they've got them in stock though - when I ordered mine he said I would be obliged to buy them as they don't carry them as standard stock. However he did show me some others (Ibiza I think) which he had in stock that he assured me would look the same - which it turned out they did! :)

I've been without Internet access for the last few days and missed this thread.

Jesus! what a shambles of a dealer treating a customer like that [:@]

I'm really glad you've got everything sorted modd1uk and welcome to the Seat community.

If you need to use a dealer for parts (hopefully not for a while yet) try David at Sere motors. Top man and top service. He will renew your faith in Seat dealerships ;) He has his own section in the dealer's section.

Rang today to double check the 60k service, doesnt look like the pump was done just the "timing belt?" is this right ? Looks asthough its just different terminology and the timing belt is the cam belt. All being well i should have it delivered up here by tomorrow ! (my day off, working thur/fri).

Somethings not adding up here, in 2007 it had done 59k according to the 60k service..

In 2008 its done 27k ?

Hmmm ?

Clerical error, or are they trying to have us on ?

dodgyru2.jpg

Clock now is showing 67k.

I can change my speedo miles reading in 30 seconds, they are really pushing their luck with you.

Unless they had new clocks for some reason?
But even then it's easy to put the correct mileage onto the new ones.

Name and shame the dealer.

What wouldnt add up is..

Date of test: 21/08/2007
Certificate issued (Pass)
Odometer reading: 53,035 Miles

Then this..which is feb 2008

The "60k" service....

scan0001tl9.jpg

Then..

Date of test: 21/08/2008
Certificate issued (Pass)
Odometer reading: 27,284 Miles

And now..around 67k ?

It could of been a genuine mistake on the last MOT, my dad knows people in the trade who have done it accidently and been like "oh ****, nothing we can do now its in the sytem"

Thoughts ?

HPI Check is clear, first registered beginning of 2004, one previous owner apparantly. Just cant get my head around this milage, i mean..if they have clocked it is 31828 miles from aug 08-now possible ?

So did they not offer you a full refund? I read above that they offered you your old car back but none of the extra that you paid. Did you speak to trading standards? IMHO, it's not too late for you to change your mind and fight for your old car and cash back. If this car is dodgy too, better off trying to sell the Punto again than letting them take you for a ride.

They didnt mention the cash back in writing but said it on the phone, basically saying ul get that and THATS it, no compensation, no re embursments (cant spell). etc.

Just rang SEAT UK and displayed my anger, disappointment and upset over this matter and the said dealer in question.

She didnt really say anything, said she would ring this Kelvin and find out whats going on, tbh the whole situation isnt good enough, we got ripped off on saturday, its not tuesday afternoon and we still have this car..not ours, nor the one we want, nor the possible trade (silver)

Its really starting to get old now, mothers under enough stress and this is the icing on the cake.

Im expecting a call back shortly, is there any advice ?

The car that we are supposed to be getting tomorrow yes.

Right guys, bit of a change of heart here.

Rang up, asked to speak to kelvin, hes going out on a test drive, i said this is more important put him on NOW, so she did, he promised to ring me back in ten minutes..i gave it an hour, and rang back...she said hes back but hes going out on another test drive, i kicked off big time as this was just a piss take.

she put me through to a guy called aaron, hes the bloke who programmed the satnav for us in this 110, top guy really friendly in person and even more so on the phone ! Completley agreed with everything i said, said i can ring up and vent at him if i like, we had a bit of a laugh, he was fully aware of the situation and my requests,

He said its a genuine clerical error on the milage, and he will do me a letter on headed paper to prove that.

Said the warranty is fine and hes trying to sort MOT for tomorrow morning, he has a driver willing to deliver the car tomorrow !

it seems asthough 2/3 of the guys are tossers, and this aaron bloke is really nice !

lets hope it stays this way, hes gonna collar kelvin when he gets back and tell him ive rung and what the latest score is, then he will ring me back and let me know what the score with the MOT and delivery for tomorrow is.

Said not to worry, apologised on behalf of them although he agreed Pauls actions are uncalled for, and will be dealt with. Said the car is near enough MINT and the advertising pics were taken before the valet, seemd to know his stuff.

So im feeling a bit happier now knowing there is a decent bloke within that dealership.

Will update when ive heard more guys.

Best place for the aerial is to just pop into the main dealer..ie citroen and ask for a c2 aerial, does it just screw straight in ?

yeh old one unscrews and you have to give it a sharp pull hold on to the base with your other hand (some sort of anti theft thing) and new one screws in i paid about £4 on ebay for my c2 aireal and took five minutes to fit and looks a lot better than standard
