and the problem with the protests, the reason we're all "British" and keeps our mouths shut, is cos the government comes down like a ton of bricks on anyone within the law trying to make a statement. If you're outside the thin blue line, they don't do jack.

We need to take some pointers from our spanish friends etc and start burning ****ing lorries on main roads!

start a f*cking riot with 500 ppl, that's when they can't do jack! Not 20 people outside the houses of parliament holding a flags keeping very quiet in case one of the 10 police dogs they've put to control them wakes up :p

haha.

maybe we need to get a couple of contract muslims in, to drive a loaded shell lorry into the houses of parliament. actually i think i just did a bad racist thing, no offence intended ....*cough*.

not sure people will see the funny side to this matey.........
We need to bring the country to a stand still, and the only way we do that is by bringing the roads to a stand still, either by blocking them with cars, hgv's, etc and leaving them there for a few days...... which in turn will cripple the echonomy and should drive down the petrol prices to a reasonable price...

...... which in turn will cripple the economy and should drive down the petrol prices and increase the tax on everything else to pay for the huge shortfall ... which will bring the country to an effective economic and physical standstill. Once that happens investors will lose confidence, interest rates and inflation will rocket and it will be the crazy 80s all over again with interest rates at 18%

Not sure people will see the funny side of this either. Lowering petrol prices is NOT going to fix the problem. Lowering petrol prices and cutting the costs of running the country which is what has caused the high petrol prices is what will fix the problem.

However high petrol prices don't matter very much when there's no petrol in the pumps to buy - Milton Keynes was looking like a petrol wasteland when i came home from work. Seemed a lot less traffic on the roads too!

Four stations in a 3 mile radius near my work with no fuel whatsoever-I usually fill up as and when I need to-ie when the light comes on.People round here filling up just for the sake of filling up.If everybody did the same there wouldnt be these shortages.More to come from what I hear too with more strikes imminent.

Just stumbled across this-

Ok We understand the job is dangerous-basically driving a big fuel bomb about(in simplest terms before anyone tries to shoot me down)but there are many people who do just as dangerous a job and get nowhere near that kind of money.I work for the railways-and have done for 18 years now-trackside every day/night making sure I dont get killed or maimed, and can tell you this that with a fair amount of overtime I would just about reach their basic wage.
Anyway rant over...

Apparently it was £1.99 a litre in some places in the west country due to the fuel shortages. Won't be long til were all paying that the way things are going.

I was one of the people "panic" buying at the weekend (if filling my tank up when its half empty constitutes a panic :cartman:) in the vain hope that would help the Shell stations run out and maybe put more pressure on the b*stard government.

I work for what used to be BNFL near Preston and we have enough hydrogen to take out most of the North West. Not to mention all the other nasty chemicals like HF and Flourine which will dissolve you. And i don't earn anything like that sort of money.
Shell ran out near me so to avoid supermarket fuel i had to go to bp 131.9 it was there. Robbing Tw4ts!!!!!!!!

There is half the amount of traffic on the roads at the moment...people just cant afford to run their cars.

I dunno I think £1.50 would be my limit and even then I would think twice about a spirited drive.

I mean I can easily stick £80 in the car on a fill-up...ouch!
