Petrol also comes without the hassle of DPF issues too.
DPF @ 25k a year is not going to be an issue. Maybe at 2.5k a year but not 25k
Agree on the DPF.

Don’t all VAG petrol engined cars now have a GPF (gasoline particulate filter)? My VW certainly does and I was very aware when it performed an active regeneration. Any issues there might be with DPF’s will be pretty well known (e.g. soot build up in the DPF on cars used primarily on short journeys). GPF’s haven’t been in use for as long as DPF’s, so whether they’ll be hassle free or without issues in the longer term is a bit of an unknown.
