Hi there,

I've been around since May 2021 as a 2018 Desire-Red SEAT Leon FR 1.4 owner.
After a wonderful 3,5 years with my lovely Leon, I just wanted to drive a more comfortable, roomy, automatic car and especially a brand-new one at that.
For the last two months, I drive a Cupra Ateca and I feel happy with it, even though I keep missing my Leon.

For the curious, here is my goodbye to Leon post: https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/goodbye-to-my-dear-leon.478224/

Anyway, my new car is a Graphite Gray Cupra Ateca 1.5 TSI ACT, with DSG7 auto, and a full kit of almost all possible features.
Turkish importer company offers the Ateca only with this spec and it is really loaded: DCC, Beats Audio, electric bucket seats with Dinamica upholstery, panoramic sunroof, 19" alloys, steering wheel satellite buttons, electric bootlid with virtual pedal etc.

After collecting it, I removed the original rear silencer with double exit pipes on one side looking down to the ground (no visible tips) and I had a new rear silencer installed, with double visible tips at both sides There is no difference to original exhaust sound but my aim was only to improve the looks anyway and I believe it has worked out nicely.

Also I bought a set of new 19" alloys for my new winter tire set, which are Continental WinterContact TS870Ps, as I don't want to remove tires from precious alloys at every change of season. By the way, car came with Bridgestone Potenza S001 summer tires, a brand I'm not so happy with and a tread designed many years ago.

Last change I made to the car for now was replacing the horn. Cupra seem to have tried to cut costs by removing the dual tone horns from spec and replacing with a single tone one which sounded awful to my ears. I had to replace it with the original dual-tone horns and I believe this is the way a horn in a car like this should sound.

That's all for now, hope to share more Ateca posts soon.

Cheers,
Serdar

Dude, with these looks I totally understand why you made the choice to swap the Leon. With stock trim, Its a bit underwhelming, but not in this form. Wow
I told my wife that I'm going to buy an Ateca and she had no clue what an Ateca looks like, she never noticed one. Next day on her way to work she saw a white SEAT one with the basic trim and took a photo of it, sent it to me with the caption "interesting choice, I thought you would choose a flashier car" I responded "be patient and wait for it" and the rest is history.

Yeh the CUPRA is a whole meaner and tastier looking compared to the SEAT, enjoy.
