Hi guys, I have a 2013 Leon SC, 2.0 TDI 110kw and I get squeaks from my front part of the car when I am parking. I figured out it could be loss of power steering fluid, but I don't know which one to use. Could you help me with that? Thanks in advance

Pretty sure Mk.3 Leon has electric power steering, not hydraulic. Of course, the rack will need some form of lubrication but this may well be grease rather than oil.

Thanks mate, so what should I do? Because it starts squeezing after the engine is warm enough and yesterday it started few minutes before I arrived home. And the most I could hear it, it was when I turned the wheel from lock to lock?

It's common for the front strut mount to be the cause, also when it goes over speed humps.

Well, I hit a pothole few weeks ago and also effed up a tire and a wheel, so that would be the cause?

Very likely, as that kind of impact can bend or break suspension components, but even new cars can squeak from the front struts.

But the most interesting thing is that, it starts to squeak after like a hour of drive, but probably I should get it to a garage

I would definitely get your steering geometry checked, especially after hitting a pot hole from what you've mentioned. As per the others have already mentioned the Leon's have electronic assistant power steering, since roughly 2007 onwards, so the noise could be heat related from the power steering electronic motor after driving for an hour, or misalignment/damage to the steering/suspension system somewhere.

Hope you get it sorted.

Okay guys I got it checked by two independent mechanics, and thankfukly there isn't any damage to the car, although they found out that I have a little bit closed caliper on my rear right side and the squeaking comes from rust that got stuck between the brake disk a brake plates but that is a work for one hour. I also got a geometry and the other side was misaligned so it was good choice to do it. Thanks for your tips!
