I had heard that too but iirc someone emailed goodyear and they said the F1's were still in production and the "replacement" wasn't actually replacing them. I think it was the excellence or something?

The "new" ones may be better and more hard wearing but they really don't LOOK as good as the GSD3's !!

And they are certainly more expensive.
