Spacers advice

Hi there I am thinking of fitting some spacers and just wondered what I could get away with ?

I have 18 inch aftermarket wheels lowered around 40mm on coilovers.

What would you recommend front and back?

Also what problems can spacers cause to the car I.e strain on hubs etc?

What bolts do I need with it being aftermarket wheels?

Width and offset of your wheels are important factors when considering potential clearance and rubbing issues - especially with your car being lowered.

Also, be aware that some insurance companies don’t like spacers, so might be worth checking first with your insurance company that they’d be happy to provide cover, and whether or not they’d want to increase your premium

Your aftermarket wheels already look flush/close to your arches - do you really need them to come out any further?
Presuming they have a lower ET (offset) than OEM wheels - which is the same effect as fitting wheel spacers.

As mentioned, the offset and width are an important factor.

To check the space you have available, hold something flat against the arch and measure from the tyre sidewall to it,
