My tuner still insists it'll be fine. But if not i'll get one, ITG or something unless you recommend one..?
May not stay with the stage 2 yet though, as depends whether the gains I get top end will outweigh the the loss I get midrange.. No harm in trying though, only £50 and he'll refund me if I don't like it..

Just get an uprated high flowing panel filter like a K&N, or green filter. The stage 2 is designed for an intake upgrade. Using the OEM engine cover and intake, the likes of a K&N will be unquestionably more efficient and therefore help to produce more power. I recently added a new Pipercross panel filter to mine to get me past until I go for a proper intake, and it feels that little bit better than previously.

Remember, more air in = capacity for more power out ;)

i think you may be right CTR i just thought the discs looked aweful hidden behind your wheels and didnt realise the discs were differant lol... My bad. Mr horace you have had your heart set on black wheels for ages now so i think you should go for it. If you want you can try my wheels on your car just to see what you think before you spend £££ on wheels. At the end of the day its you car, and i think the weight saving alone is worth having. I better stop talking about wheels now or i can see a set of TD's at my door when i get back from off shore lol.

Very well mate, very well. She's just about to crack 10k and not had a single niggle whatsoever (TOUCH WOOD) and it's been modded since 1k.. lol
DSG box seems to be lapping up the extra torques ok too (dispite a few initial concerns about the torque figure).. But on the whole chuffed to bits with it.. Just a shame we can't all get together at some point really..

There is a fair old chance Owen and I will be well down in to the 13's next time Ben ;). These wheels might just make all the difference lol. I need to beat my 13.9 so I need to make sure I get tyres that dont spread themselves all over the first 60 feet with wheelspin.

I think next time at Crail will be a good un, especially if Baz makes it along in the RAF Ned Racer :D

I have been watching fleabay for one but no joy lol.Considering a cat back for looks. or just the plain old gti set up rather than the slightly bigger ed30 setup.
Fuel pump is top of the shopping list.

They are very nice wheels , ET is still unclear to me for the leon, I like my wheels to sit out as far as possible and think et35 would look best, but have not had confirmation that they do not rub anywhere , et40-45 is what you are looking for factory fit I think ... The 38`s will sit further out, the 45 will sit about the same as standard wheels ... I would go 38 with those wheels ...

It depends what wheels and what size of wheels are you using.

I have BBS CH 8.5x19" wheels and the ET value is 35.

That ET will be a problem for you if you are going to lower your car. The main problem is front fenders....

You have to be ready to do some Modifyings for your all 4 fenders inside and also the outer Fender Lip...

Shortly: ET35 will fit to Leon, but not without fender modifyings... Safe ET value could be example. ET42-45.
