Hmmm for me it will be challenging, believe me!

I have also managed to lose the damned bolts / O ring for the blanking plate so am awaiting a reply off forge as to wether I need to buy the kit again or not:(

It has also been suggested that the first lambda sensor could be affecting the boost. As it's decatted there is always a lambda error code logged on vagcom - could this be causing the ECU to be pulling fuelling and thus boost back?

Also as my car has had the N249 bypass done, if this was done incorrectly could it be holding it back? Here is a photo of the engine bay (not that it helps) :

i like your cold air feed adapter connected to the front grill,do have any close up pics and where did you get it from.

Its hardly a big job lol. There's 3 bolts that hold the bit to the engine block, and the blank plate is 2 bolts in its place. You'll have to remove the filter for easier access, but thats not exactly tricky :p The only issue is that one of the bolts is hard to remove as the more it unscrews, the tighter it presses against another coolant pipe (i think), but persevere and you'll get there, I did :D

I wouldn't have thought it does your car any good running like that to be honest. If it did, then Forge wouldn't sell blank plates for it :D

I've done this, quite an easy job. One of the bolts is abit of a PITA.

Rich did you reused the original gasket as well?

I run the same setup mate, got it from ebay.

I still run the standard feed, but cable tied higher up so the air is pretty much aimed directly at the filter. Your solution looks alot more flexible though, and larger diameter at that.

It would be nice to get a cold air feed from down in the wing, but the washer bottle is somewhat in the way.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Bar changing the first lambda sensor when I upgrade the downpipe and replace the decat or a sports cat i'm out of ideas now:shrug::cry:

Damiens picture gives you a better idea of the setup mate, just look for some cold air ducting on ebay, it was 90mm and here is the link to the item I ordered :

Any other thoughts on this guys? Still only hitting 0.9 bar at 5k. What would actually cause the ECU to be requesting low boost? A knackered sensor somewhere?

Also on a sidenote, how many threads should the actuator be sitting at stock? Mine has about 16 threads present and I could swear that I read somewhere it should be about 12 threads....

Heres a really poor photo of it lol :

I will get the requested VAGcom logs at the next derby SCN meet all being well :)

Right the plot thickens, did a couple of fresh logs, blocks 002 and 115 as requested, and they can be seen below :

Also block 032 (more to see what the results would be due to running the decat)

Code:
Tuesday	25	May	2010	21:11
06A 906 032 RP	1.8I R4/5VT 0010

	Group A:	032
Idle O2 Adapt	Run O2 Adapt
	TIME	-10.1	-10.1
Marker	STAMP	%	%
	0	-0.6	0

Another note, the Voltage on idle of the pre cat lambda (block 033) was showing 1.5v, while the Voltage of the post cat lambda (block 036) was showing 0.1v - surely due to the decat meaning the gases flowing both lambdas are exactly the same the voltages should be similar?

One last note, long term fuel trim on my car was reading at 0.0% which is not realistic is it?

Many thanks for any suggestions made :)

Cheers

Anthony

Yeah, as always actual consistently matches requested, so its a problem with low requested boost rather than actual not meeting requested and tbh we are running out of ideas :(

Also the MAF airflow seems to be about right as per revos suggested figures?

Any ideas mate?

look at 001 also for lambda adjust... its what feeds what happens to block 032, but does it real time.
eg.. 031 will have request vs actual lambda, and 001 will show you how much % ecu is having to adjust to achieve the request.. If all is well it should not have to adjust much at all.

Damn :(

So :

- Fuelling looks fine
- O2 sensor looks fine
- MAF airflow figures look fine
- Requested Vs actual shows actual meets requested every time

So the problem still remains that at 5k its only about 0.9 bar, because the ECU is requesting this much - where do I go from here? As i'm running out of ideas now:cry::shrug:
