Read this just now and not going to praise or slag either way. Have to say as a biker, it is very common for people in cars they consider to be fast to have a go against the bike.

No idea what bhp the original poster has, but as my sig suggests, my Toledo is not the slowest and I know from experience that my R1 would absolutely anaihalate my Seat.

That said, I am sure a lot of people on here have tales to tell about top speeds, police scares etc, myself being one. Some stories may be true and others may be fabricated to boost the ego of the person behind the white lie.

Personally, I would not be posting such information on a public forum as the Police are smart and may well know to look on the Yamaha/Seat forums for details of such a joust on HM's highway. There are also any number of people who may well be ready to stick in the knife and help them with their inquiries.

dindnt he say they were on the other side, could have been going after someone else.not trying to make excuses for him but like i say, think everyone has broken the speed limit and if they have then they are just lucky there were no police around at the time or they would have seen blue lights flashing too

hence the earlier post about a certain former member that may have had his warranty claim revoked because of another member that was jealous/sad.

the internet is a dangerous place that seems full of vindictive twats that just want to make themselves heard & to feel the power of real life without the effort :(

Not really... There are times when it's safe to exceed the speed limit by a small margin (I'll assume you mean on the motorway here), but I'd hardly call exceeding it by over 100mph a small margin. You can blame doing 75mph on the built in inaccuracies of the typical speedometer fitted to cars, but I doubt that you'll get away with the same excuse if you were caught at 175mph.

Admittedly, he wasn't caught and there's no proof that he did what he claimed, but then you're got someone who's lying about doing something rather dangerous and stupid which ultimately is a bit pathetic really isn't it?

That's very blinkered

if someone doing 70 pulls out on you at 75, you should be able to slow down

175mph, no chance.

ditto for rapid tyre deflation

We take a dim view of 'racing' or continually driving like a ***** & talking about it.

So we ban the people that go on & on about it

* because this is not a democracy, we decide what driving like a **** is.

Oh come on people were on a website dedicated to tuning & fast cars, do you all drive like grannies? If all you can do is launch a personal attack on a poor bloke who maybe made a slight mistake in posting what he did then it's a very sad affair.

Grow up.

Shows how little you know

http://www.seatcupra.net/about__legal/information/about_the_site.html - I see nothing on there about being dedicated to tuning & fast cars
