Good thread, loving the smoke from the Stage 2!

I am oh so very tempted by the armrest, I had one in my MK4 Ibiza.

Where abouts in Cambridge are you, I am outside of Ipswich.

Ha thanks mate, people following me certainly don't love it

To be honest I wouldn't notice if I got into the car 1 day and the armrest wasn't there, most people think its the best mod you can do but it don't bother me

I am from Cambourne, the other side of Cambridge from you, I originally picked the car up from sax Mundham over your way plus picked my r32 brake set up from Ipswich so guy had a lock up that brakes r 32's

I missed the armrest out of my Ibiza, so unsure what to do with the Leon, as there £140 which is a fair amount, and I am trying to resist a remap. I would like to map and DPF delete, but can't be doing with smoke again. And don't want the DPF to fail on me.

Your right the other side then which is a shame. Sax isn't to far from me, some good biking roads out that way too.

Get the dpf delete and remap done mate you definitely won't regret it, you shouldn't get much smoke on stage 1, I was lucky with mine as it went into limp mode (only time i had a problem with the dpf) day before my remap but the journey to Mansfield wasn't to great lol, I knew the dpf was going to be a problem as I only drive under 10 miles to work everyday.

Definitely some good biking roads out that way, I don't ride anymore had a b1h zx6r then cbr600rr, got knocked off the zx6r by some twat who wasn't looking, I really miss riding but I will be buying another bike when my daughter grows up a bit and will probably be a gsxr 750, do you have a bike?

A vid of the smoke machine on stage 2

I've always wanted to no what my stage 2 shar.k mapped Fr would look smoke wise when on full throttle over taking.

Now I no exactly what it's like after your drive by..... Looks exactly like mine does through my rear view.

It's weird because you can go half throttle and still have some boost to play with, as well as it still gaining speed quickly.

Yet as soon as the accelerators flat to the flooring kicks out a big black cloud...... I wouldn't like to over take a police car like that lol.

Cars looking really good mate.

On stage 2 mine smokes like that at half throttle not just foot flat to the floor, can't see a thing out of the back window lol.

I'm wondering now what to do, my Fr cr 170 is currently running a stage 1 shark map with the Dpf still in place, I was going to get the stage 2 Dpf delete done to get it to around 215 bhp but after looking ' your smoke im unsure.

Is it that bad because its stage 2+ ???

I wouldn't personally class my car as stags 2+ because I haven't got an uprated turbo or anything, its just sharks stage 2 map tweaked up a bit.

As andrew has said the cr engine is a lot cleaner than the pd so you should be able to get a relatively smoke free dpf delete and stage 2 map, a lot of people with the cr are using the revo software, it seems highly rated.

Cool, I don't want to go crazy with mine it feels quick now, but the wife gave me the go ahead to get the Dpf delete done and an extra 15 bhp or so never goes a miss.

If you have permission do it, I just usually do it and tell the mrs after lol, your only going crazy when you start looking at hybrid turbos, tubular manifolds etc

Nah. Then you're being sensible :)
Why overload your stock turbo when you can just get a big one that can do it easier? :)

Haha far point, this will be my new argument if I ever decide to go down that route although I keep thinking about the new shape s3's so will probably never go to extreme with the leon

Had an hours drive to get these bad boys from a mk5 r32 at an absolute bargain price of £200 for everything, front and rear calipers, carriers, disc, pads and heat shield, looks like there is a lot life left in the discs not sure about the pads but I will just put some new ones in, gonna get them sand blasted then powder coated white with a little black fr sticker.

Did you fit these? Was the braking power a lot different?
Also did you need new brake hoses?
