P2187 fault code
Hi there new to the whole forum thing nice to meet you all. I would appreciate much needed help I was wondering if anyone here has come across this fault code (p2187) system to lean at idle bank 1 it's on a 2.0 tfsi 2007 Cupra. I have started with the pcv valve coming tommorow, but if anyone could shed some light on this i would appreciate the help. Also my temperature gauge is fluxuating between 65-70 then back up to 90? Like I said any info or anyone else has experienced this it would be a major help.

Thanks

I have a 2.0T on another Seat, similar lump though. Do you have VCDS, if so what are your block 32 fuel trims? Does the car boost ok?

Fluctuating temp isn't good and can cause many knock on issues so a new coolant temp sensor as well as the PCV could be a good start. If you are doing maintenance, the N80 is a cheap and quick maintenance part to replace too which can cause vacuum issues, but otherwise you can check for vac leaks (split pipes) etc.

I would say the fluctating temp is probably more likely the thermostat than the temp sensor. Does it start to cool down when you are coasting downhill, in gear and off of the throttle? If so then thats thermostat for sure. As for the code i agree with the above, most likely a pcv leak somewhere.
