The biggest differences with turning oily are:-

1. Learning to restrain your grin when you catch a quick petrol car napping....they don't have time to change to an optimum gear and you maul them :think:

2. Remembering where the button is for the fuel filler...... don't use it much ;)

3. Real one.... when scraping the ice off the windscreen, switch on lekky items like lights & rear demister to give the engine an electrical load to work against. It'll hardly heat up otherwise due to the thermal efficiency.

4. Get it remapped. You just gotta tap into the potential there.

Wow, i didnt know hardly any of this. im a newbie to TDI's too. I have always put my foot on the gas when i have started it so far, also have just turned it off when i have got home. Any other advice?
