I'd say you definitely don't want any more than the middle setting on the rear, had a couple of (not excessive) lift off oversteer moments.

One point I was hooning round a very, very tight motorway entry lane (arcs round a full 270 degrees) a car appeared in front of me and I had to be pretty gentle on the brakes as the weight transferred off the rears. Nothing too scary but I wouldn't want the grip moving even further forward.

Obviously too much lift off oversteer can be dangerous, but it shouldn't be dialed out completely as the most common reason to be lifting off mid corner is because of over fast entry speed. It's exactly in this situation that you need to be able to tighten your line. Often turning the wheel more will just result in even more understeer and if the handling is neutral lifting off will just leave you going around on a wider radius which on a reducing radius corner could be very bad news. In this situation what is needed is some oversteer to bring the car back on to a tight line again. The only option in a FWD is to induce lift off oversteer, without it your heading for the hedge. Of course I'm talking relatively extreme circumstances.
