N75 Race valve

my n75j gave up on me over xmas so I've been using my old C varient for the last week or so and its feels really flat.

Anyway I've order a n75h today for £35 from vagparts. I was guna stick to the J but thought I'd try one of these as its nearly £15 cheaper!

Why are people wanting to spend £60 on this so called "race" valve when most people say its the same as the H...??

I just thought I'd let you all know that I fitted my n75h today and its great, my car feels back to its best.

My J valve used to boost to 19-20 psi, then 25psi when it was faulty.

I replaced that with n75c which would only boost a meesly 15-16psi

now the n75h is hitting 21-22, and the car feels alot stronger.

Personally I would recommend trying one of these before a "race" n75 as its nearly half the price.

Isn't yours mapped to either the J or H valve though? That's probably why your C valve felt so flat. Ages ago, I remember swapping my F valve for a mates C valve to see if there was any difference, and I really couldn't notice anything (both cars were standard back then).
Generally speaking, you should stick to the type of valve your cars mapped to. If people can get away with using the H or J valve in place of the F or C without problems, that's great, but there is a chance that the car will just go into limp mode. Ok, I know it only a waste of £35-£40 but that's almost a night out on the lash :drunk:

Oh yeah I should state that I have k03s and my car was mapped with a n75j.

Dan, my car was overboosting and going into a brief limp mode in 3rd, 4th and 5th. I did have the n75j on there for a good 3 or 4 years plus I bought it 2nd hand so it had a good innings!

My car is currently doing a similar thing and people have suggested it could be down to the n75. Im gonna keep my original just incase I get any probs with the new on though.

Been running mine for a good few months now on stg2 with no problems what so ever.

It made a noticable differance but nothing amazing

Has anybody got a pic of one fitted? I've read that these are fitted a different way round to the original valve.
