First update in a while as i haven't had much time to work on the car.
Here's what we had to work with over the weekend:
The aim was to fit the INA manifold, trial fit the LCR TIP, re-fit the catch tank and fit some rear wheel spacers.
Ben started to remove the standard manifold, while i fitted the wheel spacers. I also removed the pressed german plates and fitted standard ones.
Thankfully, Ben has a spare head to trial fit the new manifold on.
As you can see, the manifold is fouling the head. After a bit of grinding action, all was okay.
We then cracked on fitting the manifold to the car. Once it was in place we started doing up the 3 turbo bolts, then realising the bolts supplied were to long! This meant it all had to come off again as the bolt closest to the head isn't removable with the mani in situ.
We did a bit of measuring and with one of the rear bolts wound in tight we had approx 60mm of bolt to fill approx 55mm of mani. Instead of cutting the bolts down we decided to use the original washers to fill the extra space but opted for 2 on each bolt just incase one didn't quite do the trick. With that done everything bolted up fine.
We ran out of time to get the catch tank sorted (although i have found a location for it) and didn't get to trial fit the LCR TIP before i go hybrid next year.
I also fitted 6000K HID's last weekend, and have ordered a tailgate to replace my rusty one.
Cheers.
