Sad news indeed mate :( but as we've already said it's pointless having all that money tied up rusting away on the drive.

Good times were certainly had with it and i'm sure it'll live on in a mixture of cars ;)

It's been an awesome car, and thanks for all your help with it mate.

The cage up for grabs?

Sold already, sorry.

The vultures are here already :p

Sad to hear, but I'm sure whatever you get next will be awesome :D

Cheers Arun. I think I have something planned, but need to start selling bits off of this. I'll be making a list of parts and sticking it up on various forums.

Thanks, Suj. I'll be sticking around on the forum anyway.

I'm hoping to get a Mk4 Golf Anniversary, but it depends what I get back from selling this and the Vario.

id also be keen for the cage if it goes up for sale ;)

Sorry mate, sold already.

Well, sadly this is the end of the road for the Ibiza. I've been stripping it over the past few weeks with the help of Ben, and selling parts off as I go.

I have a garage fully of bits, and this sitting on the drive:

I've been filling it up with parts from the shed that I've acquired over the past 5 years and will no longer need, and hopefully it will be collected this week. All that's left to strip are the rear lights, and window regulators.

More stuff has been added since those were taken too!

So once again, I want to say a massive thanks to Ben with all his help building this. It's been an awesome 5 years and couldn't of done any of this without him! Thanks to Stu for welding the cage and seat runners in, and a massive thanks to anyone who has helped out, or commented positively on this thread.

I'll still be staying with the VAG group, and will still be hanging around the forum.

Thanks again.

You better be ! ;)

As I said to you the other night, its still a shame to see yet another 2 go though,, I did actually think of stripping mine at one point, but not having any real space to store anything was pretty prohibitive for starters, and once i actually got the Golf, it was just easier to put it up as a complete unit.

:D

I'll get more money for it by splitting, plus I'd hate for someone else to have it and smash it up!

I know mate :(

:(

Decided on what is next yet?

I'd like a Mk5 Golf GTi if funds allow. It won't be for a few months yet though.

The mk3 ibiza lump will drop straight in (may require front cross member modding depending on chassis number) all other 1.8T's will fit but will require engine mounts/brackets changing depending what model it's come from.
