Can't believe your using supermarket petrol, you do realise they dont contain cleaning and stabilising additives which ultimate and optimax contains don't you??

Okay, I filled up for the first time.

Obviously I have been having a little bit of fun with the car during the first week of ownership :)

I put in 52.25 litres, and had covered 300 miles on the previous tank.

That's 26.1 MPG. Ouch. But smiles all round regarding the driving experience.

Awesome. Thanks guys.

I picked up my Seat from Kings in Portsmouth, incidentally. Nice to see another Cupra owner in the area!

Shame that my Cupra isn't running on magic after all though.

So did I. Love it as well, although it's since been back for:

a) New seatbelt,
b) New coolant temperature sensor,
c) Fill of brake fluid (it seems it wasn't checked before I drove away with it - the warning light came on just as I got home from collecting it!:censored: )

Still waiting for the seatbelt... a cream one arrived instead of a black one  - didn't know Seat even did cream seatbelts!!

Otherwise its brilliant.

Mine is going back for a "while you wait" steering wheel adjustment in a week or so. You have to hold it at about 20 degrees clockwise to stay in a straight line. I pointed this out on the test drive and they said they would sort it prior to collection, but obviously not!

With regard to the petrol theme, I put in Optimax this time around (first tank I put in premium).

Gave up on the 2 second readout. My old Polo used to jump from 6 to 111mpg, LCR does the same. Response and drive is no where near the same.

The LCR averages about 29mpg. Best ever was 31mpg on the M3 ( Stuck in 60mph traffic ).

My last 4 cars were all VW, every one gave shocking mpg. My wife says it must be me
