My Leon doesn't use any petrol

Glad i read those i thought i had a leak! Only had mine couple of months so i'm still getting used to the fuel bill. My low fuel warning light comes on at 1/4 tank and i thought it was early.

computer says i'm getting 330 miles to a full tank. Also my instantaneous mpg reading is all over the place, goes from 4 mpg to 278!!! Anyone elses do that?

Yeah it will do, foot down on mine and it goes to 6mpg then coasting along and it shoots upto 200 odd mpg. I get around 300 miles to a full tank averaging only 26 mpg at the mo but then it has been remapped!

Glad its not just mine. was gonna book it into SEAT to see if needed calibrating or a download. If thats how some are i can live with it. Cheers.

I must be different aswell as ive never had over 240 miles to a full tank , and where I work is about 4 miles roughly from home , 8 miles round trip , yeah there is a little bit of the loud pedal thrown in for good measure , I always use BP ultimate , are u guys who use optimax gettin a better deal than me , if i remember when I had awesome remap it I wasnt very clued up so If I remember rightly they did it to 98 ron , no other mods on it apart from panel filter .

Could there be something wrong with my LCR or am i just panicking after reading all ur quotes on mileage ?

i'm using optimax in mine. It doesn't seem to give such an improvement in the cupra than it did in my old astra over 95 RON fuels tho.

I use Sainsburys Super in mine to get over 300 to a tank.

I think the unknown variable in all these figures, is how much of LOUD pedal people use, how much exactly is put my foot down a bit, or little bit of loud pedal??

A tank range can vary upto figures of 100-200miles in some instances so how people drive has a massive effect on the tank range.

i can just not over speed bumps or anythin taller than a fag packet it involves(?) alot of slow down, speed up, slow down. Ah thats where the fuel is goin will have to raise it after the nurburg ring next month maybe or not

worst i got in the LCR was 160 miles to £46 worth of optimax the best around 240 with a little bit of full throttle

Unfortunately, it turns out that my Leon is not magical, and the fuel gauge is now dropping at quite a hearty rate. It will be interesting to see how many miles I get to my first full tank! (As you can imagine, I've been, umm, "experimenting" with the throttle over the last few days...)

Experimenting with the throttle can be a costly event!!!!!

Get a Polo I experiment with throttle daily and i still get 300miles to the tank. All you have to do is go round the corners too fast and you get the kinda rush that makes up for a sedate 0-60.

I just got 394 miles from full to light coming on...
