how can u avoid the types that u mentioned above in bold? I've found this kit below-

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16381

I've read elsewhere its been magazine tested, but i dunno how good it is.

Ideally, i don't want to pay this much, but if it means i'll b getting a kit which is better quality, easier to install, and won't blind on-coming drivers then it'd b worth it

IIRC the best are the philips Xenons normaly with a balast pack from somone else (as they work out cheaper than Philips own).

they look nice n white. I ordered another set of H7's for the dipped beam and fitted one of them last nite...So currently i have 2 different types of bulbs for my dipped beam.

One is 8500k, and one is 6500k, below is a picture with these bulbs in....can u guess which is which?

I must admit there isn't much difference between the two, however when shone onto my garage door (which is white), you can see that one is definately bluer, and one is yellower.

ebay m8....ok well the bulb on the right of the pic is the 6500k (the bluer one), and the left side is 8500k (whiter, yellower one). If you look carefully the bulb on the right (6500k) has a bluey sort of tinge to the outer edge of the light glow, whereas the other one is just white all over.

I've fitted the other 6500k now, so will see what they're like 2nite...hopefully nice n blue :)

My manual says-

Single reflector headlamps:
full/dipped beam 12v 60/55W H4
indicator 12V/PY 21W
position lamp 12/W5W

Double reflector headlamps: (this is what i have)
dipped beam 12V/55W H7
full beam 12v/55W H3
indicator 12V/PY21W
position lights 12V/W5W

I have an '07 FR PD130 (so i guess thats what the manual is for)....I hope that clears it up a little

As for brighter bulbs, i'm not sure. I was after bulbs as blue as possible, and as u can see from the pic above, i acheived that, however they are dimmer than the standard ones
