Gets only good comments...

My manual doesn't seem to burble when releasing the throttle, even in Cupra engine mode and above 4k rpm. Am I doing something wrong or isn't it there? Would be nice because right now I hardly hear anything from the exhaust.

I ordered at the same time as you but haven't heard anything from my dealer. Not even a build date.

I also wanted monsoon grey like yours with the sub 8 pack but every dealer I tried said it wasn't available with the sub 8 pack any more so I had to go with ice silver. Very annoying to see you got it though.

I think the ST didn't get the same exhaust update as the SC and 5Dr 290s so maybe yours won't make the burbling sound you hear in the videos?

Can someone confirm this? Cause I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPTHFuvzgu8

Ordered 3rd of March, got the ships name and it's due into port of Tyne on Friday! Hopefully only a few days after I'll have it. Monsoon grey 290 SC. can't wait!

Colour specs seem to differ depending on country, I'm in Sweden. Ask your dealer, don't wait for them to get back to you. Once every second week or so, not every day...

We'll see about the exhaust, I can also appreciate the discretion as its easy to go a bit too fast in this car so not too much attention can be a positive, also my previous car is very sporty sounding but also more tiring. Most exhausts develop a mature sound with some miles on the car, still spanking new now.

Winter wheels will be 18", there are at least two rims available that fit (see other topic).

Spoke to my dealer today. I ordered mine on 20th Feb and I've got a confirmed build date of week 26 which is the end of June! My order seems to have been of low priority compared to others here. I don't think I went for any obscure options that would have caused such a comparative delay

I feel for you, I thought it was bad enough to wait two months. But originally I was also quoted end of June, seems I specced the right stuff for fast delivery...?!

I was never even given a build date, out of nowhere I got a text saying it was in production then 5 days later it left the factory. No idea how it's ended up so quick but I'm definitely not complaining. Your wait appears excessive, I would definitely be taking it up with your dealer

Mine took about a week from factory to dealer, then another 1 or 2 days to get prepped.

Btw the video of an ST 290 is a DSG and that particular DSG didnt make the fart noise when shifting on the next video of his car, strange. And I kinda like that sound on my 5Dr.

Dont know what wheels you have ordered....
My understanding when talking to seat, those that selected the standard Cupra wheels are more likely to be subject to delays due to suppler issues.

Yeah, I'd heard that. I'm getting the sub 8 pack so it doesn't have the standard alloys with the longer lead times that they were quoting.

Try contacting Seat UK customer services - 0500222222. Just ask for an update & the factory reason for build delay.

I haven't ordered a Cupra...yet. I just wanted to read through this thread and now I am super jealous! I test drove one yesterday whilst my Leon was having its first service.

All I can say is that I loved every second I was sat in it. And I plan on ordering one in Feb 2017. 10 months to wait I know! But it will be worth it.

Also, hello! New member :)

Ordered a 290 sc dsg 1st of April quoted 12 to 14 weeks delivery time fingers crossed might be early

I was quoted the same mate, if you are UK based then hopefully it will come closer to 8-10 weeks. You've ordered the same spec as me though I work within car production so I know that means nothing!

My advise would be after a month or so give seat uk customer service a call direct to ask about build dates etc. My dealer didn't really have much info to give me but seat have a lot more info available!

Signed on the dotted line yesterday and should get the car by the end of this week or early next week.

It was obviously in stock in their compound, so no waiting for weeks or months.

It's a Black edition in Emocion red with the SEAT sound, so pretty much what I would have ordered anyway.

I can't wait to get it, so I don't know how I would have coped with a long wait.
