Well it's about time I posted a few shots of the car, I've had it since June 2024.

It's a 67 plate 1.4tsi FR Tech.

Just a few bits and pieces done so far.

The gear knob was looking tired, so I swapped it for new one with a bit of red to match the interior stitching, I also got a cover for the armrest.

It already had the bonnet gas struts, result, so all I've added is the small engine cover and made up a Seat logo on a carbon disc, also slapped on a cheap filler cap for the washer bottle, it folds out into a funnel, so much easier than farting about trying not to tip the screen wash everywhere!

Sweeping indicators added, then black mirror caps added at a later date.

I got the front grille surround, roof rails and rear Seat badge wrapped black.
I did the rest myself, LEON letters changed to black and a new rear FR badge, front Seat badge swapped for a black one as well.

Where did you get the armrest cover?

I also have the DSG knob with the red stripes, looks ace

The blue-black theme works very nice

Wow looks great! It's the exact look I'm trying to eventually achieve on my car. Are the roof rails wrapped or plastidipped out of curiousity?

Thanks!
Those DSG knobs do look good.

This is the armrest cover, it was a bit cheaper when I got it though.

The roof rails, grille surround and rear badge are all wrapped, I was going go have a go at plastidipping the grille, but thought I'd probably bodge it or it wouldn't last etc.

Plastidip is very forgiving. Just use light coats and you are golden. I used it a couple times before like the examples below

Looks great, don't get me wrong, I'm not against it, I just wasn't sure I'd get the desired fiinish doing it myself as I'd probably rush some of the steps 😅

My only worry with plastidipping the roof rails is if I need to use them would the plastidip tear. I don't use my rails very often, but still occasionally. Have you tried a roof rack with the wrapped rails?

I haven't yet, but I was thinking of getting roof bars and a box for trips away.
I was thinking the same thing about leaving marks etc, but I think it should be OK as the feet for the roof bars will have rubber on them, but I'm still not sure whether I want to risk damaging the wrap 😅
