The most comofrtable cars I have ever driven have been volvos.

The range rovers are also fairly comfortable but feel more like an armchair than a car seat.

Hmmm... Can it be this is more an issue on RHD cars than on LHD?
Also, DSG or manual probably plays a part too.

My girlfriends fiat 500 pedals are ofset to the left of the seat, probably because the car is so small. Im 6ft 3 and i find myself having to bend round the centre console to get to the clutch.

Could also be because it was designed to be LHD and then just bodged to be RHD. Happens a lot, and can't really be a surprise as RHD is a small market in comparison.

I found the same when I drove a LHD Fiat 500 in portugal. I think its just made for small people.

Yeah, I hear the gripen is pretty comfortable. Seriously agile with excellent visibility too.

I feel quite comfortable in mine (LHD-heated buckets). One thing that it's still confusing me though is that when I try to open the front windows I keep hitting the rear ones. I think it's because I come from a 3 door.

Yes, having moved from a Leon to Ibiza now to a V40 Volvo...but i miss the chunky FR flat bottomed steering wheel of the Seat's that were more 'involving' to drive...
