My mate had these on since 35k and its now on 135k with no issues, it's not this spec but its not standard.
took my floor back out an put the seats back in for now see how it goes got my harnesses running in to the my seatbelt bolts under the seats look nice a neat.
Looks dangerous to me. You get in a crash and that will crush your shoulders, doing more damage to you than a standard belt.
Correct mounting:
With belts you want to keep the should straps as horizontal as possible, as said above if mounted downwards you're going to crush your shoulders. Get a harness bar in there between the rear turrets.
They are mouthing near rear seat belt anchors witch is ok right? Not to floor behind my seat try are unclipped guys :S
Ideally not, that is still putting a strain on the seat/ shoulders where the belts go through. You really want the shoulder straps to me parallel to the floor.
I got them to the rear seat points, was going to be a temp measure but since i cant be arsed to get a harrness bar fitted theyve said in that place for about 3 years. lol.
mad lolWill, your's aren't great tbh, they want to snag towards the outside of the car putting excess strain on the inner part of the seats & your shoulders where the should straps go through.
It's quite interesting that the feds don't do more about the mounting of harnesses, I think it's a bit of a grey area. Alex told me that the release buckle should also be red, something to do with the fire brigade needing to know what to press to release the harnesses in a crash situation.
Was just chatting to my old man he's in to the old rally car mk1-2 escorts an they bolt to the floor or in rear seat belt mounts. Cheers for the heads up guy I'll h e a better look when this engine is in!!

so this was it at vas works ready to put the important bits back on
as we pulled out rods the one that bent came down an smacked my spray nozzle
the beast when she got home!
thanks to alex at forge for this!! cooler pipe can now be sorted
once again i came up with the idea my brother had to get his welding skillzz out.
so cooler started to come together few things i need to change but it works so im happy
