jus been checking insurance etc, been quoted an extra £200 a year for the Cupra-r over the Cupra.

Will probably be the normal Cupra ill get and have a tinkle with the engine.

Plus the Cupra comes in more colour choices.
 
The premium doesnt make the car any better, just means your gunno pay more for no real reason. The engines are identical, bar a different ecu map.
 
I dont think they warrant the extra money, especially when they get the same results when remapped. Other than brembos there isnt anything that makes me want one over a normal cupra.

Has the price of the Cupra's recently dropped, wats a fair price to pay?

For a cupra roughly 5500, cupra R around 6000+, obviously depends on spec/mileage of each etc. Couple of cupra R's going about at the mo you could have for less than 6500
