so how is the bulid coming on?
one thing i would add is that the backet you have on the std turbo on to the manifold does not come with the atp kit so one may need to be made up as i have ahd issues with the studs on the kit. ended up putting different uprated engine mount and poly bushes as well as high tensile steel studs to stop it pulling them through.
work for that is currently beiing done at amd.
HI Mate
build is slow........lol!
My supplier got through to one of the main guys at ATP and complained massively! and fair play as his point is completely justified having paid the money and not received the goods!
anyway we have been told from this guy (equivalent of one of the managers over there) that it is being shipped this week (possibly today!)....I continue to live in hope
anyway getting back to your point, no one has mentioned to me about studs etc, (in fact I have never heard of the term studs in regards to this kit) as from speaking with others who have done this work I was in the knowledge (and general understanding of the kit) that this turbo bolts straight onto the standard manifold. You mention bracket? what do you mean by bracket? my understanding is that you will have the gaskets, manifold and turbo ones and this will bolt straight on with very little trouble (dependant on custom DP)
so what are AMD doing exactly then, in terms of making up these "studs"....I'm confused!
EDIT: oh and in addition I am getting quotes from AMD for a stage 3 clutch upgrade, as the car will not map too well I imagine and will be slipping on the rollers with the standard clutch in...so will have to get that done first and bedded in, or it could be a waste of time getting the build and remap done if the clutch cannot cope!
