Update:
well she is back, all shiny and fixed
they have done a very superb job of it indeed, so am very pleased.
so onwards and upwards with the install on Monday
just replaced all the coil packs with my new Hitachi bolt down ones, and the drive is a lot smoother and has removed the sometimes jerkyness, so highly recommended

well its been emotional...
managed to curb my brand new wheel last night
so now got to mess about getting that refurbed before E38![[:@]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/furious.gif "Furious [:@]")
too add to the misery, the AA directions this morning sent me to completely the wrong place this morning, i.e. a road under the same name in the centre of town instead of the outskirts where the tuner is
so after 3 hours, driving about......she is now in, being worked on at the moment, so fingers crossed it all goes well
I have been told I will be given updates through the week. hopefully she should all be done come Thurs or Fri at the latest
touch wood, results and a full write up will be done at the end of this week

Bet your gutted about the wheels though, i had my wheels 2days before i curbed it, so im in the same boat about needing "a" wheel refurbed ! frustrating....

nails are ok at the moment. Looks like the car wont be done for Friday, but thats not an issue as of course these conversions can sometimes never be as straight forward and I want this done right, so time is not an issue right now
I think the mapping is being started on today. the tuner said he would call me late this afternoon with an update, so fingers crossed its all going well
no news is good news as they say....
as the turbo has had some hybrid treatment, I will ask if he is going to push it over the standard or expected 285bhp, as I would hope it can put out some more than this, but he knows best of course
quick question...
when you had your hybrid treatment done one of the things they done was enlarge the compressor wheel and enterance... how will this effect the fitting of the TIP?? if at all??

just got a phone call for a further update
turbo, piping and everything is all in, phew!
The Carbonio I think has been removed, and has been replaced with another air filter which came with the kit, possibly due to the intake not being big enough (I didnt actually ask but from what he was saying this is what I presume), and they have fabricated a piece of metal in order to hold the filter in place - nice
The kit all went in seamlessly without any issues - when I looked at the kit all in it's boxes and bit's, it made no sense to me what so ever!
they are now starting on the mapping, and it will all be done for Tuesday.
so.....bhp figures to follow

I asked if the turbo could be pushed, obviously still retaining the reliability levels but to see if she would open up a little more given the fact it has had some hybrid treatment

Why the resevations with Star Rob, you were a very loyal customer at one time if i remember.
Rob this Turbo install is well within your abilities for a weekends Job, save yourself some cash and give it a go. Not much to go Wrong.
Back on topic, looking good mate hope you get the driveability and figures your hoping for.
Theres a few people changing their mind about Star this past few years who were very dedicated to them. Rob being the most dedicated
