well the car went in to the coachworks today for quotes on the repair, and just waiting feedback from my insurance company for the authorisation and then the loan car while she is being fixed

hopefully she will all be done in about 2 weeks time and then on with the install.

ordering the 3" MAF and 4 new bolt down coil packs, as these typically go with a new remap and the work that is being carried out

Awaiting final quotes from my chosen tuner and final booking date for the install (Tuner will be revealed upon the work being completed)

hopefully, if all goes well, she will be done by the end of July :D

just got a call

car is now going in for repair on the 7th July, so it definitely will not be ready for the RR on the 13th

hopefully it should only take a week to repair and then i can book it in for the engine work to finally commence

best give the vendor a call and let them know.....

happy days :D

There will be plenty other RR days
Good that there is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel now.
Not thinking about throwing some of the bits on yourself while your waiting?

not really to be honest mate, there is nothing that I could fit. turbo, manifold, pipes etc is all specialist stuff and it wont run well on the standard map, so no point doing it myself

unfortunately I dont have the tools for the mounts etc, so just going to leave it to the pro's to fit when the turbo goes on etc:)

frustrating I know, as without the crash, she could be in the garage having all of this done now!:(

I just hope its all been worth the wait and it pulls out some nice decent figures:blink:

I'm 100% it will

I'm hoping CR have done a good job as my KO4 might go there for a bit of fiddling;)

hybrid K04 should definitely bring about some nice results:D

isn't a hybrid K04 the same as what JBS were doing a while back. The JBS05?

I just cant wait!

well it's been a long time coming, but as some of you know the car is finally booked in for the turbo and remap

I am sure some people have been in the same boat as me, but I just cant wait now

the 21st July is D day for the work to be done, and its just seems an age away!!

so......how have others felt when they know their big day is upon the horizon?:D[B)]

the tears, the pain and hopefully the joy when big conversions like this all go ahead (some smoothly and others mostly not probably lol) and when the car finally rolls out of the garage spitting and snarling!:)

happy days!

they state, dependant on succesful parts being delivered on time, that my car should be done by the 16th July, fingers crossed big time

if that all goes well, then she is going in on the 21st July for the engine mounts, turbo and remap

not long now guys hopefully!

I like the strut tops and caps but im not a fan of ANY engine cover as i like my engine to look like an engine.
When you detail the engine bay get some chemical guys super degreaser ( orange stuff ) use with an old tooth brush and your engine will gleam see here
