its just fun stuff tbh ,,, just thought id not seen a mk1 caddy with the same spec i modifyed into this moter ,,,evern thow i dont do machanics , ive tryed a few things , i.e mot stuff , engines gearboxs , and thought might as well try somert a bit more , so did this , i was rather fed up due to not been able to not getting stuck ,, with anything

this is one of my favourite threads ( i think i've posted that about 3 times already) and IMHO you deserve so more than working at Netto.

Not wanting to teach you to suck eggs or tell you how to run your life by my advice would be to take your car to somewhere like this; http://www.john-sleath.com/ and ask for a job. There's loads of people working in race prep etc all over the country. They'll be able to match Nettos salary just for servicing and dogsbody jobs and you never know where it'll lead.

Good luck and I the caddy is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the beetle (flakes in the clearcoat went out with choose life tees mate!! haha only joking; you rock!)

cool mate. Have a sneaky peek at my thread and leave any ideas or opinions mate. Only since you know how to get the most from a motor. Reckon you could get some decenty power from a derv, on a low budget of course haha

anythings possible ,,,
thought id make a homemade compression tester quick 5min joby as i couldnt find a tester with the correct plug therd on the r32 head , so used a stock plug removed the bits and brazed the steel and brass togther and added a few o rings and a quick test , works a treat

works a treat all clyinders nicely show 8 with the homemade compression spacer

right been having a few problems with my engine nothing too bad yet lol , , but noticed a rattle/ camshaft/hydrolic noise which was makeing the engine miss/run rough as its seems to get louder) from the clyinder head as its been doing this for a while, so after doing a compression test found no2 clyinder was down on compression , i thought the worst , ie , bent valve, piston issuse , , so , after removeing lifters,and checking camshafts ,which were fine , i added some of this

added to the oil and fired it up , with in 5mins of idioling the noise has gone sounds loads better and the engine isnt missing and back up on compression ,,
next , ive had a bit of a boost leak so made a quick boost tester and added a few psi of air , found a small leak on the ecu vacum pipe so repaired it , dam engine pulls now ,,

did a small mobile video , sounds lots better
