I thought when I saw the W12 Lupo that he was the only true nutter with a car that I would see. Seems as though I have been proved wrong!

Hope you get a good set-up soon bud! Alot of effort been put in already by the looks of things!
nice one pal ,, noticeing yours looking top notch and spot too ,,, love to have done the same but due to funds , i had to make my parts to do the job i wanted them to do ,,, something ive never understand , why have 2 engines ...
i thought well 2 engines , uve still got 204bhp from stocj 24v and have 4wd , in a light car , that i can understand , but why have 2 engines pulling the same power from each other, adding more chassi and body weight , surely it would be better if it had one engine and one rear wheel set up to make it 4wd , and have more room and lighter chassi/body weight plus have some spare room ,, either way , i do like it ,,,,:D

you have a major talent there, bet most car companies wouldn't mind getting you working for them with all the knowledge you have!!!! fair play, i love seeing threads like this where someone does so much to a old car and makes it a proper machine, great thread, keep up the good work

nice one nick , just a bit of fun , really ,,
bit of a fuel problem at mo i think as its runing extra learn on idiol
so thought it was because i chopped the fuel feed off the rail as the boost pipe was in the way and fitted it directly in the side , made no change so , remoded it and added a pressure check for the fuel pressure

pic of engine at mo

not be long before boosting is back and runing sweet again

Hello Powernut.

I, like Aimez, have been reading and enjoying your thread on the other VW forum (UK-MkIVs) and did not realise you were a member on here with a similar thread. I have looked at your other project, the beetle and am amazed at that as well. [B)] Have you put a vr6 engine in a Polo or am I thinking of someone else?

I have questions about your brakes, firstly how on earth did you break the carriers, did the sliders seize up? Are you (or have you) going to upgrade the brake discs, putting bigger and/or grooved discs on the car, as I see you have recently added better callipers?
yes i fitted a vr6 in a polo useing the complete engine gearbox and modifyed the standard polo engine cradle ,, fun moter to drive,
regards brakes mainly because id not tigfhternd them up enoegh , so with that extra bit of braking force , they moved and only broke a sercureing lug not the calipar or the bolt mounts, now runing willwoods:D

Hang on, this is a bit of Déjà vu, you answered this (with a similar answer) on page 23, post #441. Thank you for the explanation anyway.

Good look with the rest of the project. I can't wait to see the finished article. :D

bit of an update , r32 engine at mo
33pd9wm.jpg

runing well so far lol, runiing 100percent better on dual map setup , only boosting at 12psi so far as im runing the piston rings in and the paddle clutch for a 500mile period
then had a go at panel beating lol
2rr5rn4.jpg

got the tailgate working too (first its been working properly since i started the project
rm48cw.jpg

next i alterd the rear wheel camber , and finding out there is too mutch due to tyre starting to wear, so some modifying is needed i reckon
2qbrk3r.jpg

made a start on the left and right hand therded bar so i can adjust the camber on the caddy instead of removeing the arms
nly2q8.jpg

tempory idea how one will look ,(once ive welded them in that is )

I'm not like you guys...
least your working though eh.

i work as a tyre fitter but have always been into cars, I have a basic understanding of them and how they work, but Id love to know more.

Did you go college and then leave or have you just learned as you went along?
