Hi All,

I'm interested to know what your startup screen logo/image is?

Ever since I've had the car, I've though that the startup screen looked a bit shonky; 8-bit graphics, and a bright white spot, which at first I thought was a dead pixel, but is only there on the startup screen. The screen doesn't look like the rest of the graphics either...

As I was looking at the OBD Eleven website and I saw that changing the log is an option, so wonder if the previous owner did that, as they enabled the fan speed lights when climate control is set to auto.

They must’ve done. Mines the Seat logo with carbon fibre background. Like this…
Thanks buddy, that's more of what I'd expect it to look like!

Looking on the OBDEleven website, it looks like I can do that...one on order from Amazon now.

I bought it from a main dealer; you'd think they'd check this sort of thing out, but then again, if everything's working as it should, they're not going to care!

Forgot to say that after the startup logo, this is displayed before it fully boots up (ignore the gradation lines on the screen, they're only faintly visible on that screen, but the photo's really highlighted them!):

stupid thing, you can't just reinstall the software yourself...
Thanks, does the software version look non-standard to you?

From looking at OBDEleven's website and a couple of youtube videos, I should be able to code alternate startup screens with the app, so hopefully I'll be able to do that quite easily.

I remember you posting the code string for me to be disable the fan speed LEDs when climate control is set to auto, so hoping it's a similar procedure for the screen.

Thanks,

Nick

The white pixel is fixed with SW 515... 516 is the latest SW version but there have been some reports of instability with 516.

This is mine after updating to 515

Thanks @ViperSlider looks like I do have original graphics then!

Thanks for the info regarding the update - mine's pretty stable with only the occasional Apple CarPlay dropout, so unless there's a real reason to update it, I'll leave it as is.

My OBDEeleven arrived though, and I don't know if I was silly buying credits to make some changes, rather than writing the code, I managed to change the startup screen, and disable the climate control LEDs when set to auto.

It's personal opinion, but I prefer that to the Cupra logo with the white pixel.

Cheers all, and have a great weekend!

The white spot is fixed with a software update to 0515 as mentioned above, 0516 is the latest on the train.

I want your screen LOL.... People are asking a premium for the 606A screen with the black edition knob, can't find the button as a spare part on ETKA either, which sucks!

I turned on the LEDs in Auto (along with numerous other changes) but I updated to 515 as my Full Link was dropping out more often than expected and I wanted to see if the white dot was cured. Both issues were resolved thankfully!

The button is not available as a spare part either... I will contact my contacts to see if I can find out anything. Such parts also have an OEM number, just not entered in etka

I was going to suggest seeing if you can just pop the volume knob off and swap it, but seeing @cairus post, maybe not!

Thanks for letting me know that Full Link is more stable with 515; I’ll get it updated at some point, as while the CarPlay dropouts aren’t that regular, they are frustrating, and you don’t know what Apple are doing with every iOS update, so worth keeping the car as up to date as possible.

Did you update the system yourself? If so, where did you download from? There seem to be a few places, but concerned about downloading something that bricks it!
