Ladies & Gents, I'm after some advice please. A couple of weeks ago I took the FR in for it's second service and while it was there they kindly repaired a slow puncture for me as part of the service, I was well chuffed, can't big up the dealer enough as they have always been great with me.
Got out of the car last night and noticed a dirty great screw in the tyre, unfortunately it is right on the sidewall so new tyre required, well ticked off as it was only about 4 weeks old
. Anyway, went to put the space saver on only to find that the locking key is missing, the only ones to use it recently were the dealer and I know it was there after the new boots were fitted because I took the wheels off to thoroughly clean them inside and put the locking key back in the foam in the boot, hence the dealer found it when doing the puncture repair.
Now then, I can't remove the wheel so how do I go about removing the locking nut. I am ringing the dealer first thing but i'll bet my mortgage they don't know where the locking key is. What are my options as I can't conclusively prove they lost it and the car is used for business every day so i need it back on the road asap.
Thanks in advance.
