Hey guys,
I was looking to buy some JR wheels but dunno what to pick up..
Is it bad idea to get JR19 ET20 9,5J? and maybe 215/35 tires?
Would I have to adjust something or...?

I think you will need to do some arch rolling/pulling to be able to fit them in nicely there's an old forum post for the MK4 golfs that show sizes and the fitment they get with them

Youve not said what your existing wheel / tyre set up is. Assuming your existing set up is 7.5J x 18 ET38 on 225/40 R18 tyres, the difference between old and new (using the calculator on www.will they fit.com) will be as per the summary below.

I think you may well have issues with the face of the wheels extending out beyond the wheel arches; that would be illegal in the UK. Also, with ‘skinny’ 215 width tyres on a 9.5J wheel, those tyres will be stretched quite a lot. The minimum safe width of tyre recommended by many tyre organisations is 245 on a 9.5J wheel.

I'm only afraid if the fenders would be the problem :( or touching wheel arches or any of the components

Don’t overlook the fact that 9.5J x 19” wheels with stretched 35 profile tyres will be very susceptible to damage from kerbstones, potholes and raised drain covers, as the tyres will provide little or no protection to the edge of the wheels.

I have 19" inch rims I have no idea how wide they are, but they are on 235-35-19 tyres with no rubbing issues.

I doubt you could fit 9,5J on front axis. Rear wheels MAYBE but you would need 235 or wider tyres. Preferrably 255. In Spain you can't exceed +30mm from stock tyres, in my case 205+30 = 235 as max.

I would love to purchase new 19" inch rims. Bad news, nowadays rims are sooooo wide. And rarely available at 5x100 lug size.

Soooo adapters and/or custom made rims. I know some brands allow for custom ET and LUG sizes.

Of course 18" inch rims are much better for handling/confort/acceleration/etc. but.... 19"s are soooo awesome to look at :D

Looks a nice piece of kit. Ive seen a few home made rollers over the years but never a genuine manufactured item.

It did for me but I didn't try to save the paint as I am painting the car. But if you warm it with a hair dyer or heat gun/ hot air gun to warm the area you can do a fair bit of rolling with out damage
