Leon Cupra K1....your thoughts please?

I think you will find most buyers went for the standard cupra, not the K1. The bodykits aren't even a good fit.

We all have our own opinions but you can't get past that front bumper grinning at you like some sort of village idiot!


Std Cupra front end much more chiselled and agressive looking. No question.

Also, the K1 wasn't an official special edition in the UK and even if it had been, it would have been produced in limited numbers - so obviously there will be more Cupras on the roads

Have you owned a K1? How do you know this affects all K1's and not just some of them? There is nothing wrong with my K1's body kit fitment - a bit unfair to say that all K1's suffer from this!

When ever you see a K1 or even a Leon with the BTCC kit on it, it looks so much better than the standard car - you can try to tart up a Cupra all you like, but it still doesn't look as good as a K1, espcially from the back with that stupid left hand side exhaust and cheep looking plastic lower section on the bumper

Just because someone says the K1 is not their cup of tea doesent mean you can slag people off , if you want to make freinds or get peoples help and information on here chill a little and put in my opinion on your posts.
personally i dont like the K1 look i think it looks cheap , my cupra doesnt have the K1 body kit it has Cupra skirts and Cupra spoiler , and i think imho thats all thats needed to set things off.
In white the K1 looks a lot better , if i wanted a K1 i would have bought 1 , but i wanted a Cupra , and btw its the same car , as for the kit fitting depends what company fitted them , and yes ive seen a few and no they are not all fitted perfecty.
Invisable on here is not happy with his paint work on his K1 iirc.

just enjoy ur car and stop worrying about what other people drive and what they think , you paid for it so who cares !

In my opinion the K1 rear bumper just don't look right, the centre exit exhaust looks wrong, I'd much prefer my 'stupid' looking left hand exit exhaust (don't a lot of the world's cars have their exhausts on the left?)

I drove both before I purchased my07 cupra and for what my opinion is worth the cupra just looks better. As has previously been said think some folks need to back off as this is the first time iv ever seen any animosity towards other members. I have a K1 and agree with many others that the fit isn't quite the same all round and sometimes you can see a slightly different colour deppending on light conditions.

As for getting wound up about comments against the K1 or Cupra......Why do you even care?

I've got a normal Cupra but like the look of the k1. The thing that put me off was 1, the price and 2, just about every Leon on the road other than the cupra has the k1 kit on!
