WOW cant believe how easy this can happen. like you said must of been boosting hard.

maybe the noise at the top end was low oil feed from the pick up pipe being blocked and this had caused it to throw a rod ?

will you be taking the sump off the old block?

would like to see the pick up pipe

got the car in workshop, picked up engine, stripping it down tomorro an then sending away for crank to be reground an bores to be honed :)

will take front end off vehicle tomorro an see the damage under the sump,
got garage that will strip gearbox down an change output seal, hoping to have car back on road in a few weeks.

What kind of torque was your engine producing with those mods?

Connecting rods in BAM engine should be quite fool proof up to 300lb/ft.

These incidents makes me thinking limiting the torque of my Ibiza MK4 Cupra, which has even weaker rods than the ones used in BAM engine :rolleyes:
