Not much of an update - but as a few of you might know, I've still not got my headlining 100%. There was a lad on here did it but it looks nothing like suede and it's starting to sag really quite bad in places. So I've bought myself some new faux suede and some new gluey stuff and am gonna attempt it myself again! This time though I'll be using sand and food bags to assist me!

Turbo Dynamics should be sending me back my PD150 turbo this coming week I'm hoping. As soon as I know how much that's going to cost, I'll be ordering my helix clutch and smf - then I'll be getting the turbo and clutch/flywheel fitted - then I'll be off for a drive up to Leeds! Im hoping it'll all be done for GTI international in a month and a halfs time. :)

I'll more than likely come up for the weekend and organise some kind of a meet while Im up there. I'm THINKING maybe bank holiday weekend in 3 weeks time....all depends how quickly I can get the turbo back and how quickly I can get some funds together. Think I'm gonna have to delve into the bank account!

Where do I get that from and what does it look like?

I tried aerosol adhesive last time and I found that it made the fabric go quite hard and soaked through in places. You couldnt shape it aswell because it went almost cardboardish!....this time I've gone for something different. Whether it works or not is a different matter!

Carpet adhesive is the same stuff as you use to fix carpet to bass boxes - shouldn't go hard unless you put too much on .... light coat on both materials, leave to go tacky and then press together using uniform pressure and it 'should' work. I'd practice with offcuts first :)

got your turbo back yet mate? :p

This week! Paid for it today....they said it is a nice turbo and in very good condition - there isnt any refurb work needs doing whilst undergoing hybrid treatment which is all good! :D hows yours now? Staying in one piece? You've had it 3 days now eh? ;)
