You're the first I see who is happy to come back to origin...:D

Do you know now where is the problem with hybrid ? Remap or turbo ?

The wrong turbo had been put on my car, so the map was wrong for that turbo. So the actual mapping software wasn't to fault, but the map was wrong for that turbo. And the turbo was only a PD130 hybrid - stage 1 when I ordered a PD150 stage 2.

[:@]

So P Torque is not guilty but Turbo Dynamics. I didn't know that 130 hybrid exists...
Did you ask an other hybrid or do you stay like that ?

Depends how you look at it. Either could be seen as guilty but I'm not going to point fingers.

To be honest I dont see why anyone would bother going for a PD130 hybrid. Especially stage one! That's just pointless imo!

OK sorry. I have my answer now...:D

Are you looking for a 150 turbo ?

Yes. Do you know of anyone with one? :D

OK I don't know anyone who is selling a 150 turbo. But I can look for it on different french forum.

mines a 130 hybrid with the stage 2 carried to it ;) smiles all around

though im glad you could figure out what was wrong with it

i was worrying about mine when i sent my 130 turbo away, thinking to my self after paying that did they clearly hear me say that i wanted stage 2 and not stage one! so after ringing them 2 times to comfirm that they had written down that i wanted a stage 2, then i had piece of mind ;)

Tbh I want a PD150 just to have that bit more power if I want to go that bit more in the future. And cos the PD150 turbo's sound LUSH! :D

Brad1 sounds like a bit of legend! :D

I am hopefully gonna be re-joining the hybrid crew again before too long. Remap is nice although hybrid is savage. :D

I like the sound of being called legend lol :) yeah mine is so loud, loudest I've heard yet, and a few neighbours have actually made complaints lol, police came round and said the exhaust needs to be removed cause not having a cat and back box is illegal, after I told them no! Go do one and research about diesels they said my exhaust is legal and I can keep it, me 1 cops 0 lol, I'll get a video clip up soon mate ;)

And a stage two PD150 hybrid makes approximately 240-260bhp according to Turbo Dynamics. So it should be looking at best part of 400ft/lb. :)

LOL, thats a good one.

You will never ever get 240-260bhp out of any hybrid done from a GT17 hotside.

The required mass air flow and thereby showing up exhaust gas amounts outflow the GT17 turbine @ about 210bhp.

Even VNT20 turbine is way to small, it is only a few (8) % over GT17VB turbine.

For 240-260bhp you need at least GT22 turbine and to have clean combustion you need at least 59 or 60mm compressor.
If you dont bother smoke, you can get about 235-240hp with 56mm compressor, but this is with lambda 15,5:1 so it will smoke very well*g*

Torque btw comes from injection quantity, not from decision which turbo is used.

And btw nr2:

To big compressor with to small turbine causes boost creep which can only be solved by reducing injection quantity.
You can see this even on "standard" GT1752V hybrids, the duty cycle for N75 will be @ 95% @ about 3700-3800revs, upwards from there there is no more possibility for vnt mechanism to reduce boost, only way to reduce=reduce IQ.

Very interessant ! Thank you for these precisions. What is the maximum turbo pression that a 1752 hybrid can ? 1.8 from 2000rpm to 4000 ? Or is it decreasing ?

Perhaps you've got turbo logs ? ;)

If you want a real SAFE boost you can make 1.85bar up to 3750, then reduce to 1,7 @ 4000 and 1,5 or 1,55 @ 4500 with GT1752V hybrid.
IF you have the right compressor (There are 2 different)

What i do to increase boost level @ high revs, is to implant a bigger turbine into the GT17 housing, this will solve boost creep problems.

I have loads of logs, older versions with upholding IQ where you can see the boost level is not coming down any more, and also i surtainly have logs with corrected IQ where you can see the affect of reducing IQ in higher revs.

For the boost, that's what I thought but your confirmation is useful.

Once again, thank you for these precisions. What do we have to understand with "the right compressor" ? What are the differences ?

And can you explain the way you implant bigger turbine into GT17 ? Sorry, but newbie inside...

The right compressor from GT2052V Turbo. There are 2 different wheel designs.

To implant the bigger turbine in GT17 housing, there is cnc-machine work required.
