The wheel specialist, one I use is Cumbernauld but they have branches all over. I seen them with a copper wheel in their showroom so had to ask how is was done.

I emailed the one in Edinburgh for a qoute a few weeks ago and they didn't respond. I'll see if the Leeds one is more helpful.

Phone them? Or check your junk mail, I’m having a lot of bother in my iPhone now putting all my emails in the junk all of a sudden.

Got my wheel repaired today for £35. Not that impressed tbh, hopefully when I've cleaned the wheel it will be less noticeable. You can see in the photos how they've smoothened the edge profile of the rim through sanding, I guess that's all you can do for a quick repair, but at least it's been lacquered.

Diamond cut shouldn’t be ‘repaired’ this way. It’s basically just sanding flat, giving you a rounded edge in the process.

I kicked off once at VW on my GTD for this. They agreed it shouldn’t be done like that and paid for the wheel to be lathed.

Ha I considered using quotes around "repair" too... I understand that diamond cut should be cut properly on a lathe, but I didn't want to and couldn't afford the cost of a refurb, unless someone can point me to somewhere that will do lathe repairs in Leicestershire, for next time.

I curbed mine on Friday, must be an epidemic. Was quoted £90 and they would need it for 3 days.
I wouldn't refurb the whole wheel for that small damage, It's just the very edge. I reckon if you sand and spray that no one will notice it.
