Bmc are so restrictive ask badger bill some one who nos what they are taking about , if you can't feel the difference it makes taking it off there is some thing up with your car, I sold mine ages ago

in the know or not, iv read the airflow that my vagcom logged and its fine. albeit iv got extra air coming in from the top of the pipe and iv rerouted the cai to the front grill, but thats just a monkeyspanner job

The BMC will be being fitted, I don't see any harm in giving it a go. I have a brother who is a Master tech at Aberdeen Audi so he will know whats best for my car when he sees the logs, he also has vagcom and a snap on laptop so all the latest software ect.

Iv also maybe managed to get hold of a Forge TIP and Toyo FMIC so fingers crossed :D

Logged this car yesterday now I finally got a laptop that does not need a mains supply to work :cartman:

This car is making just under 200g/s and pulls approx 1.3 Bar of boost.

The car is super smooth, progressive and definitely faster than a standard LCR - using 1.25 as a multiple on the 198.11g/s (which I tend to find pretty accurate), I make it at just under 250bhp :)

Having lost touch with the meaning of figures on the MK1 due to me having a MK2, I am not sure that the timing figures at high revs in this log are either good or bad. Maybe someone more familiar with deciphering MK1 logs can advise?

Ta,

Al

From what I know anything below about 6.0 at higher revs isn't a big deal. There's a little bit from about 3k on cylinder #4, probably just a tired spark plug or coilpack. Good result Kat :)

EDIT - any idea what map is on the car?

Huge thanks to Al and Willie for logging my car, owe you both a pint! My car was clean until Willie got in the drivers seat

Its Custom Code Stage 1 Niall. Slightly dissapointed with the results, as the car was advertised for sale as being 275bhp. I knew this was crap as that bhp is definately Stage 2 figures, but I was hoping for more around 255-260bhp. Either way, I would have still bought the car even if it wasn't remapped.
You might be right about the tired spark plug or coilpack, as twice I have thought a coilpack is going.

Away to hit 30,000 miles tomorrow so going to get it serviced, even though it was last serviced at 25,000.

Im still happy anyway :)

Get the air filter in and have the fuel pressure regulator checked by bro Kat :)

Airflow BHP measurements can be slightly misleading tho, especially if the car is remapped. To know what it's really making you'd need to get it on a decent dyno. There's another RR day at Wallace Performance on the 22nd, thread about it in the Scotland section. Why not see if there's still a space? Likely someone will drop out anyway.

Would be interesting to log it again once you've had it serviced, are you getting the spark plugs changed? Mine also felt a bit more up for it after getting the gearbox oil changed.

I will go have a look. I would like to get it on, to get more accurate figures.

I might get the spark plugs changed. My brother will make that decision! Might get new coilpacks too as I luckily get discount on all parts through my brother. He said he was changing gearbox oil :)

I know it's very dirty before anyone says, just haven't had the time/weather to give it a good clean. Summer is on it's way though when it will get a full facelift :)

The coldest reading in my car was -22 degrees. Its was soooo cold, theres a pic of the front of my car that day on page 7.

It had only 27,997 when I bought it in October, I don't want to put miles on it! :(

Me too Shaun, roll on summer :)

Im sure you will manage, as I say it's not difficult it's just knowing how to use. Check out Polished Bliss website for their advice if you need it. Luckily Im just a short drive from them so their Detailer gave me a one on one lesson. :D

Car is looking well Kat, my 57 plated mk2 is at 27k so 30k on a 7 year old car is brilliant!

Not sure I have seen you at a Aberdeen meet but al informs me that you have the detailing gift? Fancy having an apprentice? :)
