The steering has improver so much! The old bearings must have been very worn, as the steering felt notchy sort of thing, but not she's smooth! One of the best thing's I've done so far.

Right, got the brembo's yesterday, they were a state, and I have decided to get the big refurb kit, another £50 but they're brakes after all and could save my life....
This is them when they arrived.

I used the base sand blaster, took about 45 minutes each but all of the paint is off now.

They need a little work, as some of the calliper has been blasted away, so I'm going to fill them with either liquid metal or something the same as that, and grind them flat.

Here is one of them next to a 50p, they're still quite a healthy size!

Also, I picked up a bonnet seal which I had forgotten about lol.

Well, the map didn't go to plan. Neither has my dmf! Ordered one tonight, off to Bavaria again tomorrow, and it'll be getting new clutch, dmf and all the goodies, gearbox oil transplant, clean the turbo from inside and potentially that 2.5" stainless zorst! Then re-mapping! Fu****g car is all money at the moment!

Change of plans with the dmf too, I'm going to take the gearbox out, leave it out for about a week whilst the turbo is getting reconditioned with seals and bearings, then i'll clean it and put the whole lot back together, with all new gaskets and gearbox oil! Picked up a fuel filter, downpipe gasket, oem dogbone mount, and the rear exhaust mounts today, fuel filter is going to be done now, and the gasket and mounts are for the new zorst being fitted on saturday! IF the car gets me home! Might play with the Octavia VRS handbrake too.

No I didn't get round to fitting it, ended up just doing the fuel filter and deciding to do the handbrake when I do the 256mm rears next week.... Someone on here fitted one the day I ordered mine, I wasn't aware and thought I'd be the first!! you've got a 225 wheel now you mean? I saw you had one, what do you think of it? I love mine!

Lovely to be totally honest, I think I need a bigger looped FARB and shallow sump, to get that little bit lower and stop the knocking, but the ride suits me fine. I'm 21 and don't need the car for kids or anything so other people might thing differently though, car is being a bit **** lately though, dmf and turbo issues! not fun! Bank statement is looking horrific lately, but luckily I'm away for 3 months soon.

Really? You not got a loud whooshing jet noise on tickover? Is your egr mapped out? How is a dog bone mount going to make any difference?
