Had enough of marks on my side bar from getting in and out of the car so had them wrapping in carbon. Did do the "S" on the grille but I didn't like it after and took it back off.

Went to Pembrey for the GTEC Show, the morning was pretty wet so I got out for a few laps in the rain with these Kumho V70A's and to be fair they were very good in the wet once the tyres got up to temp and it didn't take much to get them warm either!

Whereas other lads there using the Hankooks RS2's & the R888's were finding it hard to get them warm, mine still felt hotter after 15mins of coming off track compared to others seconds after they came off but to be far these two other cars were a 200SX & Caterham R300.

Had a few off's in the wet, one with me & PhilW decided to recreate a scence from Tokyo Drift on the final bend (Honda Curve) which resulted in Phil spinning and me following behind him spinning off into the grass!

The afternoon Mr Sunshine came out for some action and the track soon dryed up and the track was completely different and was nice to be hitting corners flat out but I did manage to spin off due to the rear end locking up going into "Hatchets Harpin" from a long straight 110+mph down to 30mph and then another time chasing down a new GTR and I got on the power way too early which I ended up taking the snot off roading!

All in all an amazing day, good laugh in the wet & Pembrey as got to be up there on my list of tracks! Great mix of fast & slow corners.

The house is almost finished now! I've just finished painting my workshop walls & floor (knocked a hole in the side of my garage to gain access to this room in the house that was blocked up).

Finishing off painting my garage to hopefully be done this weekend. Kitchen will be sorted soon and then I'm ready to move in :)

The savings are still looking good so I'm going to have chats with Saxon Motorsport about a forged bottom end and bigger cams! Don't know if I should keep it as a two litre or since the cylinder bores are going to be skimmed, it might be worth taking it to a 2.1 16v lump with bigger cams.... Could be looking at 240 screaming horses then!

Oh great, yeah maybe a bigger bore or stroker or something, well you are at like 220-230bhp...so would easily exceed 240bhp, 260bhp maybe? bet thats amazing dude

Keep it up mate, bet you can't wait to move into the new place...tuck the ibiza away :D

Thanks guys!!

Looking at the prices I will be keeping my head & cams set up and just doing the bottom end for reliable and should be looking at F2 Stu's cordy power of 220+bhp

If I want to go any bigger on the cams solid lifters will need to be fitted and the price just rockets up! If I was using it for competitions then fair enough..... Bloody house is making me think sense!

Dave_R I can just say damn!!!!!!!Thats one of the best threads that I've read so far(haven't read much threads doh ).I would love to have that rocket under my seat,210hp ain't little for under a tone of metal :) I see you can't get enough of having problems with your wheels, bad luck I guess.
Question for what model do you have the anti-roll bar kit(I wasn't able to find them on neuspeed for the Ibiza) and where do you bought the polycarb windows from?
For the rest don't even try to crash on the racetrack It would be like loosing jesus for 2 time haha.No really fabulous car for track use.Amm how the hell do you get pass MOT with all that modifications ?

Take care.See ya Dominik!

Thanks Dominik!

The Anti Roll Bar's, front is a Neuspeed Mk2 Golf and the rear I think it's a Mk3 Golf with Badger 5's mounting brackets (he's on here, had the arb's from him also).

The polycarbonate windows are from Plastics 4 Performance, very helpful company! And with the emissions let's say on a public forum the car runs a emission friendly map when it's in the road :)

Thanks Dave_R for quick reply haven't been active since.I found that windows ain't cheap so I'll postpone for buying them as they aren't my primary target(primary target get the car going again).Sorry if I'm so curious but i have another question xD before your latest what kind of exhaust did you have ? I mean did you have the golf mk2 or 3 or it was for the cupra 1.8t.I'm really sorry if you explained that before.

Pretty sure that when you have that kind of ECU you can pass anything hehe.

Take care,see ya,Dominik!

The first manifold I had was from TSR Performance before they were taken over by the new owners.

It was a Mk3 Golf manifold, I think they are making a new manifold did read stuff on the forums that they needed a mk2 for a test subject.

Well the snot is now in it's new bed, lovely painted garage!

Once I get my workshop cleaned up and the bench and shelving up I will post pics.

My trailer is now for sale if anyone is interested in it, would be interested in a part ex for a normal trailer. It's on Pistonheads & eBay from 9am this morning.

One more update, Saxon Motorsport are now building my new bottom end. ABF block bored out to a 2056cc, JE Pistons & Steel Rods! Just waiting for the phone call to take my car over there to have it fitted :)

Good work, its what this car needed to finish it off IMO, now no worries once completed (as I bet it was a doubt in your mind) :)
