Thanks very much think I will as its now getting on my . Are the bolts long enough to accomodate the strut brace and washers or should I put longer bolts in?
washers? eeek I just bought 1 off ebay can anyone just confirm all I have to do is remove the bolts on flat ground and out the strut brace in replace em?
and where do I put these washers inbetween the brace and the suspension or am I just using them to protect the strut brace and putting them between the bolts and brace.
you put the washers under the brace between the it and the mounting point(but i didn't bother as mine doesn't rattle on the air box), and yes just remove bolts put in place and put bolts back, it' that easy (just two of the three bolts tho )
EDIT: just read you have the 1.2 so you shouldn't need washers as the engine doesn't move as mush as on the bigger dervs and petrols
you might not need to as davels has said but the washer idea is simply to raise the strutbrace to avoid the brace rattling on the airbox and engine cover but is still as simple to fit obviously!
just without the bodges ive heard to stop the rattles
ok cool done it, without washers mainly as there wasnt any and as gaz says didnt see the need on a 1.2. O and btw lads got it pretty cheap forgot 2 mention £30 incl delivery was second hand arrived in very good condition, ebay aint it great posted link to item below. (o and thanks if it was 1 of u lot selling it on here)
Is pretty damn tight. Only rattles for a second on acceleration. Not tried the washers yet. Its been raining for about 6 months up here in Scotland. Once the week of summer comes around next august will fit the washers.
