Siren sound in 4th gear

Hey all,

I hope that someone can help. I have a seat leon fr 2019 1.5 tsi evo and I've started noticing a quiet siren like sound when accelerating in 4th gear but no other gear. It starts about 2500 revs but when I change gear it stops. I can't say if it's always been there and I've never noticed or if its suddenly started.

From searching online some people say it's a normal sound but some say the turbo might be going. Is this something I should get checked?

Car recently had a service but I'm not sure if that's something that would be checked. Car has done around 37k miles, 10k since owning.

Thanks

No it wouldn't be anything they would check during a service.

If it's only happening in 4th gear, it may be the gearbox at fault?

Yeah I was just doing some searching about that aswell.. maybe I'll take it to the garage as it just seems a bit strange I've suddenly started noticing it.

Thanks for your reply :)
