Hey guys need some advise and help if possible

since i have put my am04 the wg duty wont go below 95.3% no matter how much turn down or up not had a look fr boost leaks and there don’t seem to be any so only think i can think is the problem now is the Laguna intercooler been to restrictive?

so iv been thinking of changing the intercooler to a better flowing one, now when i saw Dave Smith's intercooler at the weekend it is very similar to the universal 1 a lot of people fit apart from the inlet and outlets are 57mm on universal but 63mm on Dave’s so would that make much of a difference in regards to flow or would it still be better as mine has 51mm inlets at the moment, and on mine they are on the back on the intercooler and not the side.

my other option is a custom forge 1 and make up the pipe work so is 63mm but then still have the problem that the chagre pipe is only 51mm so will still be restrictive there.

im not wanting to get the pro alloy 1 as it far to much money i just want something that will perform well enough for my am04 turbo and not to expensive.

so your thoughts and help would be greatfull

thanks :)

change all vac lines and feel better but still same, pritty sure its not leaking though as was messing with pipes and when driving hear nothing comming out so think will be waste money having it smoke tested sure its the intercooler.

also guy on here mikey kc had to change his laguna cooler to a diffrent 1 when had ko3 hybrid done as was having problem with the cooler been too restrictive.

im getting rid of my laguna intercooler as im seeing temps over 50 degrees and ive put a
gt28rs i think this is why its rr at 290 and giving me bad figures because its so restrictive in the same boat as you but do not want to get the forge kit

mines keeping it cool just not flowing well enough i dont think. i dont want the ibiza forge 1 but would go for there customer one as more or less identical to dave's am intercooler then just have to get pipe work made up. or go for the universal 1 as every 1 with that seems to do okay anyway and some are running big turbos on it and doing okay.

yea true not sure what to do yet as looking at that universal forge 1 seems very simillar to daves only slightly smaller think that 1 would work well enough with changing pipe work?

If you have the ports coming out of the back of it then the pipework will be easy as you can basically work off your set up, just with bigger hoses.

Speak to Austin about it as he was bang on when they did mine
