hi im wbout to buy an ibiza cupra 2 1998
90.000km


i wanna know everything about the car
what to look at and so on
pls help me i will post pics later or tomrrow

rusty rear wheelarches are a common problem, as long as the car's got a decent service history you'll probably be ok. they're 10 years old now so expect the ususal bits & bobs going wrong. mines been fairly reliable, although just had the dreaded pedal box issue (search on here & you'll find out about it). Have a read of teh "you know you've got a MK2 Ibiza" thread - that'll give you plenty of insight.

how do i tell if its a cupra 1 or 2? it says onley cupra on the car

Cupra 2 in the UK had red seat belts iirc

Nice ibiza, looks well looked after anyway.

Pedal box is the assembly for the 3 pedals above the drivers footwell, it is usually the clutch pedal weld that snaps (from a stiff clutch cable)

Common problem - that and the electric windows

Ive had both problems.

It's not a British car, so may have been more accessable where it came from
