the rear door handles must be supplied with the Y cables from the front for the lighting

So few cents from me. I think that connecting those to existing lights is not right, they should work separately and should be configurable to work with coming/leaving home. To me that makes the most sense.

I've looked at the wiring diagrams of few other cars. As previously mentioned in Audi A4 signal comes from T20l/3 connector so it might be worth checking. However Ateca has puddle lights in side mirrors and the plus comes from T16g/1 pin which is not used in the Leon. Same thing for Golf MK7 or Passat B8, but I believe in VW those lights are at the bottom of the doors so they might not work as I expect.

the function is correct. The light on Auto the car is controlled by the light sensor. The door handles dim when unlocked and dim when locked. If a door is opened or closed, it also dims and lights up for time X

My bad, right now I've noticed that you indeed have connected those handles to T16/1 pin which to me makes also the most sense. Glad to know that it is working as expected!

Because handle lights are not puddle lights, I just would like to do it correctly, where it should be, if its possible of course. Yes it works that way also, but if there is special output on module for handle light, and also if there is coding bit, I rather use correct way then.

p.s. bit 6 looks interesting on Your picture
The name doesn't matter, it's how they function and the wing mirror puddle lights on T16a/1 on MK7 golf (T16g is the same plug on MK3 Leon) is for "Entry light" so will work correctly with CH/LH lights etc and not stay on when driving around like ambient lights. The "Handle lights" is for interior handle on VWs with ambient lighting pack so won't work correctly. I can see good information has been posted whilst I am typing this but I have done similar retrofits many many many times and it's the function that is most important,. It should function exactly as intended and as if from factory otherwise it is a poor quality retrofit for sure.

For those that notice my coding seems a little different... There is a reason... SW has been flashed for wing mirror close/open operation to be the same as a MK7 golf, close on 1 short press (normal lock) and not open until ignition is turned back on, to save the motors lol.

(edited to add more T16 info)

okay okay, that's we are here for! You just telling that You done it so many times, but no information left for other users like full DIY instructions from You here, therefore we all are looking for ANY reasonable information to solve all the mystery! I was relaying on golf 8 wiring diagrams therefore I was writing about separate pin on control module. I will test it any way, and if they work as expected (same as You write) then why not?

About mirrors, can You share software for this or more information? I've looking for this so long!

p.s. guys, more I spent time in this forum, more I put things in my leon... o_O wifey are not happy about this.

I have the same function of the outside mirrors, but didn't have to flash anything

We are all here to help, I am here for that too!

Door module SW needs to be flashed from 5Q495959xE 031 to 5Q495959xE 032 and then the folding function will change and that will explains why my coding option look a little different. SW number is different for driver and passenger door, usually 592E/593E so check which side has which and change accordingly.

As I said, I have done many SIMILAR retrofits (added exterior handle lights from Audi A6 C7/4G to an A4 B8 which the B8 chassis never had it as an option for example) so I have knowledge that will transfer over and apply to this, my issue is I am busy so can only post infrequently lol.

Oh, I already have 5Q495959xM 247, so no flashig to ...E 032 :(
Can You share coding/adaptations for unfold mirrors with ignition?

Interesting, I can't find an update/flash for M but have B, E, F, K, P but no M....

I'll dig out my notes on the coding needed afterwards and post as a reply :)
Yep, same is for me, in flashdaten i can't find my version either, but here it is:

There is actually 59xF and there is update to 0248 available for that so that could be your solution but do the below coding changed first to see if all you need to do is coding :)

Here are the notes, copied from this forum I think or somewhere in the depths of the internet, which I used along with the SW update to get the function fold out on ignition on and NOT on unlock along with one touch fold in on lock:

1 - Module 42- Electronic driver door

2 - Extended coding (Byte mode)

3 - Byte 4 - (Enable Bit 6) (Comfort mirror folding)

1 - Module 52- Electronic front passenger door

2 - Extended coding (Byte mode

3 - Byte 4 - (Activate Bit 6) (Comfort mirror folding)

1 - Module 09- Electronic control unit. Code (31347)

2 - Adaptation

3 - Access control 2 Up to MY16 or enter Spiegelverstellung From MY17 and later

4 - Funk spiegelanklppung modus - (Change value to Convenience operation via remote control key)

Press and hold the button to fold or unfold

5 - Funk Spiegelanklappen - (Change value to On)

If you also want to close with a single click instead of keeping the button pressed:

6 - Funk spiegelaklappung modus - (Change value to By look command via remote control key)

If you also want to appear in the car menu to activate or deactivate from the screen:

7 - Menuesteuerung funk spiegel anklappen - (Change value to On)

If you the mirrors to fold out on ignition the SW update is needed to 032 if it's 031 and follow 8 and 9.

8 - In Adaptation, enter Spiegelverstellung

9 - Signalisierung_Spiegelanklappung - (Change value to Deactivated)
