But that is the handle lighting inside. Outside there is no bit with the Leon control unit
My bad, right now I've noticed that you indeed have connected those handles to T16/1 pin which to me makes also the most sense. Glad to know that it is working as expected!the function is correct. The light on Auto the car is controlled by the light sensor. The door handles dim when unlocked and dim when locked. If a door is opened or closed, it also dims and lights up for time X
The name doesn't matter, it's how they function and the wing mirror puddle lights on T16a/1 on MK7 golf (T16g is the same plug on MK3 Leon) is for "Entry light" so will work correctly with CH/LH lights etc and not stay on when driving around like ambient lights. The "Handle lights" is for interior handle on VWs with ambient lighting pack so won't work correctly. I can see good information has been posted whilst I am typing this but I have done similar retrofits many many many times and it's the function that is most important,. It should function exactly as intended and as if from factory otherwise it is a poor quality retrofit for sure.Because handle lights are not puddle lights, I just would like to do it correctly, where it should be, if its possible of course. Yes it works that way also, but if there is special output on module for handle light, and also if there is coding bit, I rather use correct way then.
p.s. bit 6 looks interesting on Your picture
okay okay, that's we are here for! You just telling that You done it so many times, but no information left for other users like full DIY instructions from You here, therefore we all are looking for ANY reasonable information to solve all the mystery! I was relaying on golf 8 wiring diagrams therefore I was writing about separate pin on control module. I will test it any way, and if they work as expected (same as You write) then why not?The name doesn't matter, it's how they function and the wing mirror puddle lights on T16a/1 is for "Entry light" so will work correctly with CH/LH lights etc and not stay on when driving around like ambient lights. For those that notice my coding seems a little different... There is a reason... SW has been flashed for wing mirror close/open operation to be the same as a MK7 golf, close on 1 short press (normal lock) and not open until ignition is turned back on, to save the motors lol.
I have the same function of the outside mirrors, but didn't have to flash anythingDer Name ist egal, es kommt darauf an, wie sie funktionieren.

About mirrors, can You share software for this or more information? I've looking for this so long!
p.s. guys, more I spent time in this forum, more I put things in my leon... wifey are not happy about this.

Door module SW needs to be flashed from 5Q495959xE 031 to 5Q495959xE 032 and then the folding function will change and that will explains why my coding option look a little different. SW number is different for driver and passenger door, usually 592E/593E so check which side has which and change accordingly.
Yep, same is for me, in flashdaten i can't find my version either, but here it is:Interesting, I can't find an update/flash for M but have B, E, F, K, P but no M....
I'll dig out my notes on the coding needed afterwards and post as a reply
There is actually 59xF and there is update to 0248 available for that so that could be your solution but do the below coding changed first to see if all you need to do is codingYep, same is for me, in flashdaten i can't find my version either, but here it is:

ok, will wait for information, thank You very much already!
Here are the notes, copied from this forum I think or somewhere in the depths of the internet, which I used along with the SW update to get the function fold out on ignition on and NOT on unlock along with one touch fold in on lock:Yep, same is for me, in flashdaten i can't find my version either, but here it is:
