i was doing bout 80 last night and was coming to a roundabout so did dum fairly hard braking and got a really bad noise coming from the passenger front wheel! i took it to the garage today and they think its the disc thats the problem, they think that there are heat spots on the disc where it has overheated!

any1 else had the same problem?

you mean you had brake fade?

I had all of my discs/pads replaced with slightly uprated ones due to the same problem, you get a droning sound under hard braking, and struggle to stop.

std ibiza disks and pads?
goign for std again or somethign which is a bit more durable?

ATE power disks of Stu @ ~£39 each plus some performance pads like ds2500's @ ~£68+vat and some good fluid like motul RBF600 to cope with hot temps as an option too..

the hot spots will rub off in time.. but can lead to judder.
