Hoping someone has had this problem in the past and can assist! My 2019 Leon Fr has a problem with the heating - if I put the dial on 20 both passenger and drivers vents blow at what I’d guess is about the right temp, however, if I put it on 21 the drivers side goes red hot, about what I’d expect at full, while the passenger side feels significantly cooler. The WJ King garage I bought it at have it as it’s still in warranty but they are getting no fault codes and can’t replicate the problem whilst stationary. On of their staff took it home and experienced the problem so confirmed it exists, but the engineer still can not find the fault. Is this ringing any bells with anyone?

Theres a few things it could be, it could be a blend door motor issue not adjusting the temperature, or it could be a blocked heater matrix, given the age of the car this could be a possibility. There was a way to calibrate the flaps behind the dash using the climate controls, but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what buttons to press, that might be a good point to start with, you might not get a code for a failed blend door motor or a clogged matrix

Thank you. I’ve tried to reset it and it seems to work for a while but then goes hot again after a few minutes. WJ king had it for three days in total and their “master mechanic” says there is no fault. There clearly is, and their service manager drove it home and agrees.
i don‘t know what to do really. There is an independent Audi garage near me, my initial thought is to take it to them to diagnose, then go back to WJ King sidcup and get them to fix it, and if they refuse I suppose it’s off to the ombudsman!
