..as per title, I appreciate its fixed price servicing, but looking at last invoice, I can say approx £25 by supplying my oil oil.

How can you save £25 supplying your own oil, if its included within the fixed price? Clearly I'm not understanding this.

In answer to your question, with my dealer no, with my independent yes, as my indie doesn't use Shell..

Although it fixed price, the invoice breaks down the cost of the oil, thats how i know what I can save.

Get you, but they must be charging you a lot for you to be able to save £25 just on oil..

The place where my parents got their Altea serviced charged for 1l bottles, so if you think of it you can save a bit on the oil if you have less than 5l oil sump

Never said I can get oil for less than £25, I would save £25, tesco selling Castrol Edge 5w30 1 litre for £8, need 4 so its £32, dealer charged £58 for oil last service.

Yes that is the issue I tend to have with dealer servicing, it is okay getting a special price on VAG service parts, but when that means you get ripped off with the supply of oil -- !!

What they make you think - "oil comes in one litre bottles"
What they buy the oil in - bulk delivery of maybe 200 litres loaded into their holding tank.
That means that the buying in unit price of one litre price, after adding on a reasonable ammount for profit and disposal of the old oil (or do they sell it on for re-refining?) should be maybe for example £3.50 per litre, actual price they sell it for maybe £18.50 per litre.
Now there is a thing called mark-up and there is a thing called daylight robbery - hum, which one applies here?

Asda were selling 4l of the 507 spec Castrol Edge for £30 in January. Not sure if its still at that price.

Ah, I forgot about that, I was in Costco on Monday and bought it there as it was on special offer but that was £32.60 I think!
I naively thought that local "Unipart" might still be operating under its new ownership, but "for sale" sign up, so Costco was my next stop to get a puncture fixed and to buy oil for Polo.
So to summarise, punctured winter Michelin written off/scrapped and I paid too much for oil - oh joy!
